South Pacific Meats Project: A Fast-Paced Success Story

We’re thrilled to update you on our latest achievement—the completion of the South Pacific Meats (SPM) project in Christchurch. This 408 m² new build was a fast-paced, high-stakes project that we won through a competitive tender process. From the outset, our team demonstrated exceptional agility and problem-solving skills to meet the tight deadlines.

Delivering Energy-Efficient Solutions

The project called for a highly customised HVAC solution, and our team delivered. We installed a Hybrid VRF system and Heat Recovery Units (HRU), both carefully selected to optimise energy efficiency and performance for the client’s unique needs. The Hybrid VRF system allows precise climate control, essential for a facility of this size and function, while the HRUs contribute to significant energy savings by repurposing heat that would otherwise be lost.

This combination ensures the building operates smoothly and efficiently, providing a comfortable environment for staff and visitors year-round.

Behind the Scenes: Meeting Tight Timeframes

Managing a project with such a short turnaround is no small feat. Under the expert leadership of Dean Hollingworth, the team tackled the challenge head-on. The project’s success speaks volumes about our ability to remain adaptable, efficient, and solutions-focused under pressure.

What’s Next?

With the project now in its final stages, we are looking ahead to the next phase—ongoing maintenance. Before the end of the 12-month defect liability period, we will be presenting SPM with a proposal to manage the maintenance of their HVAC systems. Given our track record with the installation and our strong relationship with the client, we are optimistic about securing this contract.
