Beattie Air Nears Completion of HVAC Systems for Mitre 10 Mega’s Beckenham Development
Beattie Air is proud to be nearing the completion of its work on the new Mitre 10 Mega Beckenham project at 32 Montreal Street, Sydenham. Spanning an impressive 13,000 m², this development stands as one of the largest retail builds in Christchurch and will be four times the size of the existing Beckenham store.
Advanced HVAC Systems for Comfort and Efficiency
The facility features a spacious warehouse, café, children’s play area, drive-through, and garden centre, requiring complex HVAC solutions. Guided by the expertise of Grant Holton, we have installed large Temperzone air handling units (AHUs) on the roof to provide efficient climate control for the warehouse. In addition, Mitsubishi City Multi cassette systems have been integrated into the office spaces to ensure a comfortable and energy-efficient environment throughout the building.

The successful progress of this project reflects the dedication and hard work of our team. Beattie Air remains focused on maintaining the high standards we’re known for as the project enters its final stages. With completion set for early 2025, we’re on track to deliver exceptional results for this Christchurch landmark development.
Looking Ahead: Maintenance and Beyond
Once the project is complete, we will be managing the maintenance of the HVAC systems for the next 12 months. With our established maintenance contracts across other Mitre 10 sites in Christchurch, we look forward to continuing our work with Mitre 10 to support this flagship store.
